The ODI leg of West Indies' tour of Pakistan has been postponed after a meeting between the officials of both the boards after a further three players and two members of the coaching staff returned positive COVID tests.
Confirming the decision, a joint statement from Cricket West Indies and Pakistan Cricket Board read: "On Thursday morning and as part of the PCB COVID-19 Protocols, Rapid Antigen tests were conducted on the remaining 15 West Indies players and six player support personnel. All 21 members of the West Indies touring party returned negative test results. As such, Thursday’s T20 International (T20I) proceeded as planned.
"However, taking into consideration both the teams’ welfare as well as limited resources in the West Indies side for the ODIs, it has been agreed that the series, which forms part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, will be postponed and rescheduled for early June 2022."
The third and final T20I in Karachi proceeded as per schedule in Karachi. The three ODIs which were a part of the Cricket World Cup Super League were to be played at the same venue between December 18-22. Pakistan is leading the three-match T20I series 2-0.
Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein and Justin Greaves returned positive COVID tests in Wednesday's round of testing along with assistant coach Roddy Estwick and physician Dr Akshai Mansingh. They must remain in self-isolation for 10-days or until they return a negative test. Devon Thomas has also been ruled out after suffering a finger injury in the first game.
Roston Chase, Kyle Myers and Sheldon Cottrell also returned positive tests upon their arrival in Pakistan. This meant that only 11 players were available out of a squad of 18 for the touring party. A statement from CWI earlier stated that a decision on the rest of the tour would be taken after a meeting with the officials of the PCB and another round of testing.

The school Winters vacation have finally began ...so our neighbors are up and loading to go home . The rest of the neighborhood is still sleeping ...
I hope and pray that it rains here on Christmas 🎄

And the problem today is that we have everything ....in the freezer ...and nobody is able to decide what to defrost and if the others would also like it ...
Anyways ...the cooking mafia is still not back in form despite cooking the mutton Pulao for the Fourteenth Anniversary fateha of Papa on Thursday .
She let the chickpeas ( choley ) soak overnight I heard the sound of chickpeas falling from the jar ( dry) into the other container later filled with water .
Have you ever noticed that chickpeas raw and hard have a sound but after boiling in water ...they turn soft and tender and soundless ... awesome 😎
So a little while ago i reminded her that she soaked chickpeas at midnight when I was doing this my the Sunday Blog № 298 ( Two Hundred and Ninety Eight)
And right away she put them in the cooker ...and since I don't hear the sound of cooker anymore so I believe that the choley are ready to be eaten
I am extremely overweight and due to lack of walking my muscles are also very stiff ... yesterday I tried to wear socks while going out in the chilly winds ...and I had trouble bending my thighs so from yesterday I started watching my diet ...I had only one naan bread for dinner ....skipped supper , Sunday special breakfast , and not very anxious about the Sunday Brunch or lunch ...
Yes the choley are ready and the potato also boiled ....so now I can make a chat plate ...
I can't decide whether to eat and sleep 😴 or go out for a walk in the sun come back eat , pray and sleep 😴
Feeling very sleepy 😴
So sleep , eat or walk ...but first a break for prayers 🛐 with a prayer for my dearly departed parents Papa and Ammi
May the dear merciful Lord All Mighty Allah have mercy on my dearly departed parents Papa and Ammi and may they be blessed by the dear merciful Lord All Mighty Allah and Their Souls may rest in peace in heaven. Amen!

- Sindh government withdraws decision to start winter holidays from December 20th.
- The provincial government is asking all schools and colleges to follow NCOC guidelines in connection with winter vacation.
- Previously, the winter holidays were announced from December 20 to January 1.
The home department of the Sindh government has called on all schools – public and private – in the province to start winter holidays from January 3, following the guidelines of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
The provincial government has sent a letter to all schools, colleges and universities directing them to follow the NCOC guidelines in connection with winter holidays.
The home department has called on education institutions to review their winter holiday schedule again.
Earlier, the provincial government announced the winter holidays from December 20 to January 1. The government announced the decision on December 9 after a meeting held by the subcommittee even before the NCOC came with an agreed date.
Private Schools and Colleges in Sindh Boycott New Winter Vacations Schedule
Speaking in this regard, Chairman ASPSCA, Haider Ali, said the ASPSCA had already announced winter holidays from 20 December 2021 to 1 January 2022 in line with the directives of the Sindh education department that were issued earlier this month and will observe holidays under the same schedule.
On Sunday, the Sindh home department announced to revise the winter holidays in all public and private institutes in the province, notifying that the winter holidays in the schools and colleges will now be observed from 3 to 10 January 2022.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) had met on Friday and suggested the provinces start winter vacations in educational institutes from 3 January 2022 in order to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates among students
