This week despite Muharram we had four times a day and night loadshedding . The first one begins at midnight till one am probably has something to do with the wordle drop .
Having nothing better to do I usually end up doing the wordle daily with mobile data . It should be fun but you know the hot and humid weather of Karachi when it's not raining or thunderstorming...is that a word ?
Besides the hot and humid weather ...I am eating a lot of beef haleem both homemade and takeaway ....so even though it appears to be a non meaty dish of grains and pulses but infact has an equal amount or more of severely mashed beef . So the moment fan or wind stops I begin to sweat very bad . The kmc having nothing to not do during the break from rain and thunderstorm started shepherding the mosquitoes to my neighborhood . They hate my neighbors no doubt about it . So the moment loadshedding begins the mosquitoes starts the happy songs of joy and feasting. Imagine that in muharram .
In this half an hour I am not sure how many times I have been bitten by the mosquitoes as I am sitting in the lawn under the white shiny cloudy sky it has been drizzling intermittently since the evening. Did not rain or thunderstorm as predicted . The met office says that Karachi is under spell from two sides An interesting New Monsoon Phenomenon. I am desperately trying to comprehend and contemplate.
So help me God the All Mighty Allah Amen 🙏
Right now I am on the other mobile without the Sim meaning No Data
Doing this my the Sunday Blog № 331 ( Three Hundred and Thirty One) on the note pad so there is no distractions of the wordle will do it when and if I have the wifi ....
The if is very important the loadshedding not just leaves my neighborhood powerless it has distrupted All the schedule
Like water pumps , garbage disposal , sleeping , watching , net surfing , social media , online shopping , eating , etc
Sometimes when the loadshedding is over and electricity restores , the net or cable does not or mobile networking goes away . And you know that now every tom dick and Harry in the local administration has the power to unplug the mobile network , data network and cable tv of my neighbors. And besides it's the rainy season as well so there can be a fault to .
My street is usually very quiet during the midnight loadshedding but this week they are having the night processions of Muharram main roads are blocked so the motorcycle youth belonging to desperate age group are roaming the streets and having fun . There is a pillion riding ban during the day so it's a very good time for the bikers to practice giving ride to their friends . The most interesting scene is when the rider speaks loudly while driving the bike so that the person behind the rider behind him can listen . And his voice and the bikes sound combined turns it into just noise and nobody understands what he is saying .But the speaker enjoy it a lot and feels good himself even if he makes no sense.
Okay the Karachi Electric has restored my electricity ...so now I am back inside on the carpet floor under the fan and without the mosquitoes playing Pinterest on my body especially the feet and singing a Happy song .
I have to plug in this mobile to charger and do the wordle daily,
Have a cup of tea and a little snack and relax

No loadshedding at 5am I was woken up by the cat . It ate something where and pissed on my red valvet quilt ...no the other one ...
Praiseth the Lord All Mighty Allah Amen 🙏 I wàs not in bed and it did not piss on the carpet floor on me .... anyways I opened the door let him out and then saw the room door open so I checked and the wet thing was not so hard to find ...I hanged it outside and washed it ...in the lawn now the crows or the rain will do their thing ....I love the quilt too much I am not ready to part ways yet so.... anyways despite all this drama I managed to wash clean change clothes and pray fajr with a prayer for my dearly departed parents papa and Ammi and the Recently Departed Aslam Bhai

Sisters fajr alarm was constantly ringing
Thank God the All Mighty Allah Amen 🙏 that she did not wake up or I had to explain everything I did and did not do.
This is the second time this week the cat has done something like this ... earlier this year after the winter rain when we were in the mourning the twins were just kittens and they started doing their business everywhere inside so we had to lock them outside ...
One of the twins was female it stopped waiting for meal leftovers even though we had plenty in those days as we were having fateha twice a week .
First it started scavenger hunt in the neighborhood and then it started hunting pigeons fresh blood she was enjoying hunting and leaving the Caracas for her twin . Soon the duration of her expeditions started to grow . And one day it found a new abode or new life and never came back .

Okay the sound of all generators stopped
Now I should go and help my sister In the kitchen before it was too dark .
She had a cramp or strained muscle and insists on cooking haleem for fateha ....she wanted to do it in one go ....because she is afraid that if pain grew she won't be able to start cooking on tenth ...everyday you learn a new interpretation of ....saving the best for the last ....when it comes to cooking Muharram haleem she used to cook the pulses earlier and freeze them ...but the muscle strain has changed everything now she wants to cook the traditional way .... thank God the All Mighty Allah Amen 🙏 she does not have extra ingredients or she would try to cook a degh ( couldron)
And talking of degh ...some neighbors family or friends brought degh and prayer mat probably the new neighbors....because the old ones next door were not involved in the activity infact looked very uneasy ....too close for comfort and not invited ....
Oh life....I got to see all this and enjoy just because of the only loadshedding/ shutdown of the Sunday .

My life was always with him and for him . Never without him . I cannot do what he did ..it's not about being successful I without him cannot even imagine the failures like his. I don't hate him at all I hate myself for not taking better care of him ...my guilt is growing with every passing sad or happy occasion without him . The only remorse I have is that since he passed away I prayed for him and for rain in Karachi especially on the dry and hot clear sunny days ...my prayer for rain I feel was heard more than I expected so I believe that my prayers for him may also be heard
