So I begin this my the Sunday Blog № 506 ( five hundred and Six ) with a tragedy...
The great football player Lionel Messi was manhandled by some Indian fans and security in Kolkata stadium
6:39 am Fall asleep
Woke up and prayed Fajr Prayer 🛐
with a prayer for my dearly departed parents Papa and Ammi and the Recently Departed Aslam Bhai
May the dear merciful Lord All Mighty Allah have mercy on my dearly departed parents Papa and Ammi and may they be blessed by the dear merciful Lord All Mighty Allah and Their Souls may rest in peace in heaven. Amen !

So after the prayer ...I boiled water , boiled eggs , made tea with ilaichi ( cardamom)

The worst thing was peeling the boiled eggs ....the white farm eggs we are getting recently for couple of months have a very thick white inside skin ...this skin is glued to the egg shells 🐚 on one side and with the egg white on the other.
Raw egg white is thick and very sticky.
If you try to peel off the egg shell the boiled egg becomes the university road. Deformed and shapeless...and trust me ...I have tried everything...boiling for longer time ...cooling for longer time .... cooling multiple times...etc
Nothing helps ...
Time to check the water pump....
8:58 am Break
10:31 am No breakfast or Sunday brunch ....not because we have a fateha later today but because...the weather is hot and humid ...not suitable for winter treats and nashta ...
And talking about fateha ...chicken karahi and mutton yakhni is ready....now I have to soak the rice and cook...cooking mafia is retired hurt...her wrist twisted while lifting heavy cooking utensils...
I am doing most of the manual work while she is only updating my software....
Well as they say too cooks spoil the broth....so I feel that the chicken karahi is a little undercooked...but looks great ...while mutton yakhni is over cooked ....the fat on meat is totally dissolved.....and the meat on bones is also breaking away....
The cooking mafia despite pain in writing wrist ... wanted to start early but I delayed so the restaurant and shops on panda wake up and open on this hot and humid Winter Sunday....
I have to order naan bread and cake ...for fateha ...if not available...I may have to go myself and bring it from the market....both shops are half a mile apart ....no idea why ?
As I mentioned earlier Today is the 18th ( Eighteenth) death Anniversary of Papa ( May his soul Rest in Peace in Jannah Amen 🙏)
He passed away after the third cardiac infarction and renal failure....he survived the first two and he almost survived the third as well...but could not Survive the Peritoneal dialysis
He was not okay with the process and preferred the alternate medicine for renal cleansing and revival....but the third time the hospital doctors forced Peritoneal dialysis...
It was a chaotic year....2007
Benazir had lost the lobby and I had lost the library.....for ever .

2028 ...?
There seems to be a legendary symmetry in the year of funerals in this house...ever since .....Papa ( May his soul Rest in Peace in Jannah Amen 🙏) loved to study astrology...
And he used to mention the 7½ years darkness in ones life ...
but this is incredible
According to this legendary calendar.....me or one of my siblings have less then three years left.....
I am ready and relaxed....
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Not panicked at all.....
My elder sister ( cooking mafia ) also prays regularly and recites durud pak whenever she is not cooking or on facebook or when not distracted by my gossips....sometimes when she is seriously reciting the durud and I distract her ....she is very angry...
We have stopped going to every tom dick and Harry's funeral so that our survivor is not overburdened with a large crowd at our funeral ...I am not into prearranged funeral and booking burial site ...you never know ...
On 7th December 2028 CE I would be almost 60 years old ...if I unfortunately survived ....I would definitely like to move to an old home instead of living here with complete strangers who would love a big crowd funeral with red noses and black dupattas....
Have you noticed many idiosyncratic television actresses got married...like ushna shah and kubra Khan ,saboor Aly etc after intense funeral scenes in recent years......it is so much better than the Ramzan and muharram transmission which nobody watches anymore.
Just checked market oven is now open on foodpanda ...got to go......
12:54 pm Took a quick walk to the market ...there was a long queue for Puri tarkari...so I only took the halwa for fateha and moved on ...next stop was Allah wala for the taftan sheermal and doodh wali naan ...
On the way back ..I stopped at dairy shop and took lassi parcel. Also for fateha ...actually I needed it right now ...as I am thirsty and sweaty....
The rice are soaked falak select ....so now it will probably take 15 - 20 minutes to cook the mutton pulao...
Now I have to rush once more to the bakery to choose a cake ...
I wanted to cook the degh ka Khaana but some other day...the land grabbers are already excited don't want to give them any false hopes
I have rested enough.....sweat is also dried and now the winter chill is taking over
So I better get up and get ready to pray Zuhr Prayer 🛐

5:11 pm Alhamdulillah the fateha is done....
It was a tough day both indoors and outdoor had to be done by me....in the end the cooking mafia got very excited and forgot that her writing wrist is hurt ...
While I rushed to the bakery ....she finished the cooking....and also helped to set the table....
done the dishes....

Besides the shouting kid a broom 🧹 vendor sound coming from the otherwise very quiet neighborhood... absolutely no traffic....on the street.
Trends have changed a lot in the past 18 years....family and friends used to have kids weddings on the 14th of December....we missed so many weddings ...now today is the madrassa mulla reciting Chehlum of Phopha jaan....we were not invited....
Ammi ( May her soul Rest in Peace in Jannah Amen 🙏) used to say that people who come on Thursdays are invited for chehlum....
I am glad that I was able to attend his funeral and also recited surah Yasin at his home. He was a jolly good fellow....me and Aslam Bhai ( May his soul Rest in Peace in Jannah Amen 🙏) always enjoyed his company.
Allah maghfirat farmaay aur Phopha jaan marhom Kay darjat buland farmaay aur Phophi jaan aur Aamir ko sabr ata farmaay...Aameen

This week our cable shut down the home cinema indian movies so I was not able to watch any Hindi movie
The only movie I watched this week was
The King's Man
2021 ‧ Action/Adventure ‧ 2h 11m
Dhurander movie was released this week ...and the social media is buzzing.....people on the streets here in Karachi are not able to watch the movie yet but are very excited .... watching reels and songs of the movie ....the unforgettable ch Aslam has once again brought back to the minds ...making it ever more difficult to separate facts from fiction.
Time is up ...
