Today is Sunday , the 6th of October 2019 , the 6th of Safar ul muzaffar 1441 H till the Sunset ( 6:14 pm ; Karachi ) And this is my the Sunday Blog # 183 ( Hundred and eighty three )

Yes it Rained with Thunder and Lightening this week too ...even though the System had left us last week . Still not sure where did the rain come from this week ...i mean we here in Karachi the most dangerous city in the world have two systems ...one comes from the east from way back from the Bay of Bengal . and the other from the arabian sea . This week it is believed that the cyclonic winds from the north pushed The System back towards the east and so we were not bashed as hard as it was expected . Still two days of rain with thunder was predicted for the weekend ...Only parts of the city had it at different times ...some did not have it at all . We here in jamshed town only had the half hour rain after 1 am on friday morning ...and that is it .

So thanks to the Week without Rain ..The ODI Series of PAK vs Sri came to a very good win for Pakistan ...in this three matches series ...Pakistan won the series 2-0 as the first matched was washed away by thunderous Rain in Karachi the most dangerous city in the world .

So apart from the light drizzle in some outskirts of the City ...it did not rain here today ..even though we completely and decisively lost the T20 first match at Lahore few hours ago ...Watching television was absolutely tortuous ...not just the T20 match ...there were frantic advertising breaks on every channel ..somebody really lost the grip ....

Anyways ...nothing the sponsors did could have changed the scores ...the final score ...i mean .

So Karachi is the Most dangerous city in the world .... its not just me ...who says this just increase my word count ...The FCO ( Foreign and commonwealth Office ) UK -GOV also firmly believes this and has very recently confirmed it .
By Not inviting the British Royals visiting Pakistan to Karachi the Most dangerous city in the world .

The news channels ticker says ...its raining in Karachi with thunder and lightening ...And here over my head there are not even full clouds ...

Anyways ...lets check the Sky met weather update for gujrat

So here we are ....

Okay its time for another break ....yes ..i have wasted so much time on reading these skymet weather maps and still don't know what the A stands for ....?

Anyways ...so during the break ..i made tea ...and added jam-e-shireen sharbat ...to make it extra sweet ...and look like the kashmiri chai ...no this is not kashmiri chai ...they use baking soda ...to get the redish pink colour . Interesting isn't it ....let me share a recipe

Ingredients

2 cups water
3 tablespoon kashmiri tea leaves
9 green cardamom crushed ( choti elaichi)

3 inch cinnamon ,broken into chip (dal cheeni)
¼ to ½ teaspoon salt
⅛- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda (khane ka soda)
1 cup cold water (pani)
3 to 4 tablespoon sugar (cheeni),( optional, since sugar is not added in Kashmiri tea but some non kashmiri people like it sweet.)
2 cup milk for strong or 3 cup milk for light (dhood)
½ cup cream optional
1 tablespoon grounded pistachios (pista), optional
1 tablespoon grounded almonds (badaam), optional
* For authentic taste and aroma use Kashmiri tea. If not available use pure green tea leaves can also be used.

Other variations ( in some regions these ingredients are also added)

4 jasmine flowers (chambeli)
1 star anise (badyaan phool)
4 cloves

Instructions

In a wide based skillet, take water, Kashmiri tea leaves, salt and cardamom, cinnamon.
Bring it boil and let it boil for a minute. Now add baking soda.
Cook more till you get deep red color and water is reduced to half. (20-30 minutes)
Add ice cold water in boiling hot tea. Mix well for 1 minutes.
Kehwa is ready. You can strain, cool and store in fridge for 3-4 days.
When making tea add milk, sugar (if using) and powdered dry fruits to kehwa.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes and serve. Garnish with more nuts.

Recipe Notes

Update :For best results use Kashmiri tea, if you don't have Kashmiri tea, you can use green tea instead, but in my personal experience green tea does give a very similar taste to kashmiri tea but fails to give pink color. Although, you can add pink food color. But that is a fix and not authentic way.

Amazing thing happened this week ...while i was sleeping on friday morning ...somebody break in and tried to steal an old useless junk water pump ...no idea who could try such a thing ...anyways it was too heavy so it probably fell down while this guy tried to pull it up and throw over the wall or hand it to somebody standing outside ...the sound of drop must have scared him and he left a mess behind of a broken chair and a high stool . I hope he was not badly hurt ...or broke something ...On Friday before the Juma Prayers we usually have a heightened Security ...But for some odd reason it was even higher ... even got a lift on my way to the mosque by a definite stranger ....and thanks to him i got to the prayer on time ...in the mosque i did not place my slippers at the usual spot ...because when there is a heightened security the chances of losing your slippers and shoes increases ....Mind It !

This week Two More extremely torturous Geo Entertainment Soaps and shampoo Drama serials ended with the bad Girls and guys apologizing ...
So the Ekta kapoor of Geo entertainment does not believe in Happy Endings ...The last Episode on Friday of The Soap Shampoo diapers and sanitary stuff ..Named Yaariyan was exteremely difficult to digest ...but i am glad its over and out of the cyctem

The best part of the Soap was that for the first time in the history of Soaps on television a DNA test came out positive and was not tempered with ...nobody even suggested or tried ....Mann i miss the Hindi and turkish soaps already ...

Sajal Ali is having a very bad season ...after totally ruining Zeera Plus Ad ..she gave a very bad start to much publicized new Soap Shampoo and Biscuit Drama Serial ...Alif ....of Hamza Ali ...kalb -e- momin . much hype generated over the duppatta in the trailer...obviously it must be a time for prayer ....for MMM . ...how come at the same time ...so synchronized ...i smell a jewish conspiracy here definitely ! By the way the promo that was shown on television here is not available online on social media ...shrewd editting ...

Actually Doctor Saab's Inlaws Don't Cook ...so they are regularly getting the FID's ( Food Initiated Diseases ) and invite him to funerals where he gets to eat more Don't Cook ...often cold and late ...

My Inlaw's Don't Eat ! so they are not yet born ...or die hard ...but we have a no interference policy ...So i gets to eat whatever i like when i like and mostly according to the season ....like this reminds me that if this kind of weather remained all week ...i will probably have Beef Paya Breakfast next Sunday Morning ...Okay facebook search tells me that they have not yet started the regular winter season Sunday morning Beef Paya Breakfast ...or announced when they will resume it or even if they will or they wont ...because they are changing their menu to fast food on Public demand ...so maybe this winter i will have to cook the sunday Brunch myself or have something else .....

After hearing and reading about the pressures opposition is putting up on Our very Dear Mr President Trump ..i now understand Why the Bush regime invented the New World Order Syndrome ...It worked for them and they had a very Fun White House also they did not have to cook or carve the Turkey on Happy Thanksgiving ....because every thanksgiving and some Christmas was celebrated with the Troops ...in Iraq , Saudi Arabia , and Afghanistan .

Media and Sponsors loved it ...and so it was a very smooth sail of the two plus two terms in office ...4+4+4+4 = about two and a half decade of Peace and Prosperity in the Washington DC ....never mind the East coast or the south ...who cares ?

OKay then as you can see i have had too much to eat during the hi tea and facebook meet up ...so now i cannot sit here ...i am more sleepy than the canadian PM after drugs ....as soon as the weather gets colder ...and the temperature drops ...I will start fasting on Sunday's so that i don't have to eat and sleep like this ....During the day time while doing the Sunday Blogs ....

By the Way ....last night after Dinner one of my Food Tweet got an instant 400 hits ...amazing isn't it ?

Today this my the Sunday Blog # 183 ( Hundred and eighty Three ) seems to be all about food ...What i eat today ....what i eat yesterday ....what i eat a year from now ....What i would be eating next ....what i would be eating a week from today next sunday ....and what others eat or do not eat .....So after this break i will try to talk about something religious ...like the Maulana Saab's Dharna or the Indo Pak War .

It was a very interesting week in terms of the very varied Topics and genre of the movies i watched this week ....Last week when i watched movie or movies of the latest Bollywood sensation Taapsee pannu ...and was updating the IMDB ...i realised that she has about 42 movies in the credits list and i may have only watched a few less than ten perhaps ...so i searched for more of her movies and found a few recent ones ...

My shrinks have always had a habit of finding or making a local china copy of the Bollywood hits ....This is the one where they cannot even try to imitate ....Jam ....LOL !

The Wedding Chapel ( 2013)Rated 4 stars ....too many watched already about the Eminent Domain the right of a government or its agent to expropriate private property for public use, with payment of compensation. In the UK it is used chiefly of international law, whereas in the US it is used of federal and state governments.
Religion : Dharm (2007)Rated 10 stars ....Wow ! Watching movies like these one cannot stop but to think how close is the next War ....The Bollywood is messing not only with the religion but faith as well . And i am so sure there will be so many people and institutions across the board who would love to have it not only taught a lesson but also completely destroyed to a point from where it cannot revive . Karamchand detective or Mr Pankaj Kapoor has always been my very favourite hindi actor ...but here in this movie even he surprised me with the awesome performance ...wished i had watched it much earlier ....The moon phase Varth fasting for the ultimate cleansing of mind body and soul .....as it is explained in this movie is very hard to find from the simple google search ....Anyways ....it is an awesome movie .

10:29 pm No News ...without food ....yes ...Bugti Armed Gurads beat up a teen who went to Saba Commercial for takeaway ...Says his Mother ...

And the Price of Onion is Rs 100 / -Kg ....
No ....!

This week my siblings made me go the market and bring a kg of Onion ...and believe me before going to the market i asked them to tell me the Price of Onion ...and nobody told me ...how much ...So imagine how i must have felt when the vegetable wala told me ...Sau ! For a very brief moment i was shocked ...because usually we have the afternoon sale of Onion ...these young retailers make a loud cry ....Sau ki teen kilo ...piyaz ....or something like that ....But because of the Heightened security and the Heavily Armed Gurads sitting on the gate ...and no parking due to extra cars parked by the neighbours ...these young retailers with push carts have stopped coming to our Quality Street ...and even if they come they don't stop long enough so that somebody can get up and go and catch them ....There is one more reason for their lesser frequency ...infarct two very good reasons ...First is obviously the increased prices of Onion and Potatoes and tomatoes ...the three main ingredients of the Pakistan Food ...I am sure the kids are not feeling they could attract extra customers with end of the day must sell Sale offers .....Sau ki Kilo ...piyaz ...Sau kay kilo temater ....

No i don't think so ...especially when DFresh of Daraz is showing two three rupees less ...Cheap marketing ...they can do it ...But not the push cart guys ...and especially not the illegally parked on the kerb in the market ...They have satisfy other customers as well not just the buyers ....

Believe me it was over ninety two days ago ....So anyways ....

The Other reason for the push cart end of the day bargain vegetable kids not coming as Often as they did before is the Untimely death of the Old Neighbour who passed away before the Holy Month of Ramzan few months ago ....He was not able to walk freely so what he did was that soon after the Asr Prayer he used to put his chair with the help of servants or grand kids outside his own gate and enjoyed the show .....He regularly Buy stuff from the street vendors and his main attraction was these bargain vegetables from the retailer kids ....Usually we had to wait to buy something ...until his shopping was finished .....But we never mind it because we knew all along that these extra vendors are coming because of him ....And see its not even half a year ...and their frequency is reduced to ten percent and the prices increased to more than the market prices . Not to mention the Quality ....
You know what i wont be surprised if some day the CIA de- classified his personal file for me and i read that those vegetable retailer push carts actually belonged to him or his family or friends ....

OKay not telling or confiding in me about the situation of Karachi the most dangerous city in the world is very much understandable ....they want to keep playing the guessing game ...but not briefing the FCO is really incomprehensible
