Today is Sunday the 2nd of June 2019 , the 27th of Ramzan 1440 H till the Sunset ( 7:18 pm , karachi ) And this is my the Sunday Blog # 165 ( Hundred and sixty five ) .
So it was an interesting week ....not a one that went exactly as planned . Some minor events made it even more interesting and educational . The fast went ok . except the sehri and iftar and the meals in between changed a little . Because the Nose or just one nostril begin to flow .
A runny nose that seems to affect one side of the nose more than the other side could signal an anatomical problem, such as a spinal fluid leak. When symptoms include obstruction to air flow, other conditions such as a deviated nasal septum need to be considered.
You know how difficult and disturbing it is during the taravee prayer ...much more than being a single parent during the taravee prayer ....lol
After the 23rd taravee on the tuesday ...i begin to feel low ...and down ...did not take any serious precautions ...thought it would pass and i would survive ...but while frying the pakoraz for iftar the next evening i was sweating very profusely ..still i kept on going and then eat them as well ...after iftar i went to the mosque and there even though the qari saab was in worse shape than me ...and even missed a getting up in prayer and made a lot of mistakes in reading ....but since my nose or just one nostril had started to be runny i was only worried to not let it fall on the prayer mat in the row ...used the tissue from my front and side pocket many times just before going down or getting up from prostration ( Sajda) . Tried to get out of the fans way ...but ...here in this mosque ...the last rows are very abnormal ...yes ...sometimes the whole row disappears like the news buses for karachi ...and you are left there bewildered and beguile ..okay no maybe not beguiled ...being left alone in the whole row of fifty plus people and no left right , forward or backward to move ...sometimes makes you feel so important ...reminds you that so many quit and you are still here ...anyways , that is absolutely not important ...because i went there in the last week for the very last few days ...But remembering from my past experience ...i am sure that the baqi picture would have been the same in all previous three weeks this year as well .

OKay the Good News from this Mosque is that the Chief Imam saab is still Alive ....not well but still alive ....and was not able to come for the bayaan and dua and the distribution of the Shireeni ....The substitute Imam saab did the honours ...I am bewildered and confused ...How these short cut people keep finding such CUTE and SWEET imams one after the other ...This new one may be just a little bit cosmetically challenged but his recital and bayaan was heart warming ...and the prayer was also awesome . Don't know why he did not recite the Quran in the mic during the taravee prayers ...
Anyways , Just like last year ....some body i don't know really well ...sponsored the Dua and Bayaan and offered sheerini ...last year if i remember it right there were two items ...a box of Ideal bakery cake and mango kulfi ...
tonight ...the new imam saab informed earlier that there will be three items ...and they will come one by one ...so don't get up and be seated ...then after the prayer he said that people sitting out side for air should come closer so the distributors may find it easier ...somehow i know from the beginning that the third one , i did not know what it was then , would not reach us sitting in the open . Anyway ...i got the first two ...without even blinking my eyes ...just like that ...and they were the same for everybody ...a box of ideal bakery cakes and a crunch kulfi ....

So i won't believe this ...after collecting the shereeni ...i had to go to the shop to get Salt ...because we were out of it ...totally ....of all the sweat and toil felt wasted today ...when all soaked and wet ...and a melting kulfi in hand ...i had to go to the shop the way ...Why dear Merciful Lord All Mighty Allah Amen ! ....Why ?
it could have been yesterday ...they day before ...or the next day after yesterday ...No ...i guess this is where all my geometry and algebra goodness fails .
Anyways , this has been a much better and well planned Ramzan ...we did not do any panic buying ...like most the city poor folks did . or stockpiling things we didnot need at all ...most of the things we had for iftar and sehri or the meal in between ..come from the one stop shopping after every taravee ...The Huge Water melons and other fruits were usually brought and brought by my dear elder brother ...usually my sister buys the fruit from the door step ...but because of extra ramzan security we did not do that . As a matter of fact i don't even know if they were coming to our street as usual because i woke up very late ...after their usual visit time . I did mention in my previous Sunday Blog ...that i stopped responding to the door bell ...so even if they had rang the bell ...i may have not known ...
We did not have much meat , mutton or beef ...because of the heat ...and also we were trying to make the cooking mafia relax and rest after the eye operation .
lack of water was also an issue most of the ramzan ...except for the week while i was praying at the mosque over the local Water Board pump with Rangers on the full Alert ...did i told you that the first day i was there ...after the prayer i checked my not so smart phone ...and every thing was on ..even the Blue tooth ...not to mention the data ...Thank God i had the bundle package ...or my balance would have been all gone ...I thing i did not understand though ...every time i turn on the blue tooth on this old and useless google mobile ...it shuts off the mobile ...but here every thing ..even the youtube ...which was not responsive but open .
SO my inference regarding the lack of water on the holidays is a little corrupted just because of that weeks data . While praying there and smelling the good and tasty delicious food ...i came home and ate more than i should and did not do much research about the changes it brought about in the city or on the borders . So hopefully if my siblings keep sponsoring the good smelling tasty delicious food i choose not to bring during Ramzan , i may continue the research and correct this data corruption ...insha Allah Amen !
Okay then it is time for the Sehri ...the Astro Twilight for karachi the most dangerous city in the world today is 4:14 am ...and sunrise is 5:42 am ...so i better take a break here for sehri and for the fajr prayer afterwards with a prayer for my dearly departed Parents Papa and Ammi

anyways ...i can still breath ...clearly with the nose ...both ears are very normal ...no pain or blocking at all ...eyes are wide open ...no sticky or dry mucous ...as well as no drowsiness ...its almost sunrise ...But the throat is revolting and chest is very much goner ...LOL
yes it is true ....how fast the anti biotics effects my body shape as well as inside is so alarming ....seven days more ...and i might bid farewell to this belly as well . feel hand to hand battle in six seven places in the body ....camps burning mutilations ....if i don't get up after the sleep feeling A okay ...then i will have to change the meds i am taking ...or i will be having the chic pea broth all eid while everybody will be enjoying oily greasy meaty chicken stuff .

Okay well usually after a heavy sehri i try not to sleep instantly ....and today i am also afraid of the nasal congestion as well as the khatti dakar ( Belch or wet burp) so i will try to sit straight up for as long as i can ...usually i play the ludo Star 2 . a game or two until the batteries run out . after that if the game is not over then i plug in the charger and leave it on Auto ...

i am not sure if i am up or sleeping ...vision is very much blurred and i am drowsy ....I have totally missed one Chaapa sleeping ...doctor saab came and prescribed some new medicine for my ear ...he is in always such a hurry ...that even his childhood friend in our neighbourhood who regularly calls on the weekends and Sundays to check if he has come or not ...missed him ...obviously i had no chance ...none at all . What i am worried is that at a time when i was asleep how did he get the door opened . The Door Bell must have been shut off ...as i did not hear a thing . So anyways ...here is the morning mood tweet of the day ....

felt a surge in electric supply ...not sure if it was local or international . Maybe the cleaning and dusting for the next chaapa ...caused it ...I believe the people are coming early before eid today because they are not sure if the careem will operate on the Eid days and even if it did ...they fear it will charge extra ++
Since i have a Birthday Coming on one of the eid days ...so i cannot go anywhere . you know superstitions ....Yes careem is already deducting Rs 25 for TCF ...who knows what they will add on the tab on the eid day ...
So i believe i should pray first or should i go back to sleep ...this ramzan i have mostly prayed the day prayers very late ...my room digital Azan clock since the battery charge and reset is showing Asr at 3:53 pm ....the indian navy mosque in the neighbourhood gives azan some time before the 4:30 pm ...and the Azans of Asr prayer begins in my neighbourhood after 5:09 pm ...so usually when i am praying the Zuhr prayer ...i hear the Asr azan ...which is very reassuring that there is still time ....Not touching the Digital Azan clock during the Ramzan but on eid day when i have nothing to do and can't sleep either ..i will try to read the microscopic text of the small manual book that came with the digital Azan clock . maybe there is a plus / minus option in the global chart setting . or maybe some other city code works for me ...other than that of Karachi the most dangerous city in the world .

and now the time for the next prayer is fast approaching ...means that now i will take a break again...since there is no pressure to go for the taravee ...today ...there is also no pressure at all on me to have a iftar ...all i need is just a date and lots of fluids ...cold and hot . there are lots of leftovers from yesterday and before ...so i am not required to fry or cook anything ...i will probably lie down after the asr prayer and fall asleep and will continue after the maghrib and iftar ...hopefully after breaking the fast i will be in a better position to deal with little allergy or itch in the throat ...nothing is coming out in the spit ...then what is it ....should have had the yakhni or nihari very regularly if i was going on a jihad against the weapons of Mass destruction ...causing rhinitis . I was rejoicing so much that this holy month of Ramzan i made very few mistakes ...did not slip ...did not waste my blood falling and getting hurt ...but almost forget that this was coming my way .
Okay some frying smell is coming probably from the neighbours ...which will make it even more impossible to sit here ...so without making a comment on the ICC CWC2019 and ISPR and espionage full court martial ...lets move on ...

Anyways , this use to be the time when i started panic every night to go to the mosque for isha and taravee prayer ...and today i have the first holiday in 28 nights ...Wasiq Mian ...how are you going to Pray isha ...17 rakats ...on your own ... the 12 rakats used to be so fast ...8 in the allotted time of 4 ...and the vitr was saved by imam saab ...and the last two ...quickly ....anyways ...after the iftar i am feeling much better now ...and i have no plans to continue the safe and healthy diet plan ...the worse that could happen is that i wont be able to buy the kachoris on eid day ...so be it ...

11:34 pm So i don't think there is any need to continue this my the Sunday Blog # 165 ( Hundred and Sixty Five ) after the mid night tonight ...and the cough and chest is getting worse ...plus the facebook meet ups are really very interesting ...and most revolves around the same issues ....Water and sewerage . one is plenty and the other is none ...If you have no water for the daily use in this the most dangerous city in the world Karachi ...there are usually two options ...the first one is ofcourse the Surrender ....and follow whatever the Builder mafia suggest ...installing the pumps ...getting connections other than your already connection ...and getting the well dug ...and after doing all this if you still have any strength left to surrender ...then buy the water from multiple market sources ...
The other option is to fight ...that is conserve whatever water you have ...use one third of what you use to or need to ...save for the days you wont have ...a drop ....develop the survival instincts ...reject all family , friends and neighbours ...
try your best to upgrade your status from chawani ( quarter ) to athanani ( half ) or Rupia ( full ) ....so that you don't have to share less and less water with anybody else . It is so sad that if you conserve and save water in the house ....for the dropless days in buckets , canisters and plastic throwaway bottles ...the house begins to look shabby ....and even if you live in a posh locality ...the interior decor of your house , your room and especially the kitchen and bathroom begins to look cheap and poor man's residence ....imagine if you are bring a bucket of water out from your safe hiding place in a bucket on the eid day and your relatives who have no place to go even on a eid day , comes ...and sees a full bucket of water in the hallway ....just imagine ...i am not sharing the gory details here ...
Isn't it ironic ...so ironic ....that the first signs of a mental condition begins with the dirty or shabby room ....and the foremost evidence of a mental disorder is a super clean room , spotless house and kitchen as well as the personal hygiene ....i am talking about the OCD and Germaphobic . Germaphobes are obsessed with sanitation and feel compelled to clean excessively, but they're really suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder.
