And then Started this blog . 

Yes I survived isn't it so obvious ...the very quiet and calm holiday week . 

Despite the whole week thunderstorm predicted we only had it on Monday .All night we had the rain and in the morning it was simply amazing . Our street was built for Papa ( may his soul rest in peace Amen 🙏) by engineers it still has an awesome slope the water is quickly drained itself . During the rain on Monday morning our neighbors professor Saab slaughtered his big black bull on the street . Before the rain stopped all the red blood was drained not a single drop was left at our front gate or kerb side . 

And the moment his butchers finished the rain stopped.  Don't know why but I feel like he would be fired very soon . 

Top of the hour got to check the water pump 

1:03 am Break ! 

1:35 am No water pump duty for me tonight....wow ...so may I ask why I have been given a Sunday morning off ....because if I remember it correctly last Sunday we had water till fajr .

Any ways 

So the most amazing thing besides the rain and urban flooding of DhA and fire at sohrab Ghost 

is that I have watched the Netflix originals series Resident Evil all 8 episodes in one day . Obviously I have no interest in watching a hundred plus zero bies ( zombies) chasing a rabbit ...a day earlier I saw a picture of half Ahad Raza Mir ( sajal Aly ex) naked on Facebook ( all community guidelines are for us ...) So the moment I saw it on Netflix I unintentionally pressed ok and luckily I saw him soon . YouTube link

Honestly I am not into watching the series on Netflix ...have not finished a single series yet and not started the ones I have to watch someday ...like big bang theory, suits and Seinfeld. And few others . 

After watching Riviera 2017 - 2019 on YouTube 

I strike off from the wishlist the Riviera tv series from the nineties 

Not sure if the two had any link or connection

I fall asleep and keep falling ...never got up ...

Missed Fajr 

Woke up at 9 am not my usual time especially for the Sundays 

Throat and nose congested 

got to make some fresh tea 

The leftover in the pot has spices

Okay yes I have started making the tea ...

Can you believe that now my life success and achievement goals and my bucket list have overlapped . 

1. To someday eat something so bad and fall somewhere at home where papa , Ammi or Aslam Bhai fell and kick the bucket . 

No I am not suicidal at all . And neither can I be put to it .

Last Sunday when there was blood on the street and most of the neighborhood was doing sacrifice ...I slipped and fall on my knee and rolled. The knee once again saved me .it hurt for days but now it's okay . I got up on my own and tried to ignore the pain . Even went to the market oven and brought naan bread for my late lunch 

Should have lied down and relaxed . 

Oh I almost forgot the tea ....boiling .....

Checked the water pumps 

Can you believe they changed the time for me today . So I can sleep in the afternoon . 

When I woke up at 9 am the west side sky was clear blue and the east side was cloudy 

Now Google weather alert says you are expecting rain at 12 noon ...

Or a thunderstorm at 1 pm 

Let's see what happens ....

Just chatted with my nephew who is on train near Faisalabad ..he says there is slow shower ...

Okay top of the hour have to go and check the water pumps

The test match in Sri Lanka has resumed after the break and wickets are falling very regularly the score is 

73 for 5 . 

And if you watch a news channel ....God knows what they might be saying about srilanka ....

That is what I keep reminding my self to keep calm after watching the breaking news. 

And american propaganda against governments for regime change . 

I really don't understand why the remove their puppets and bring some new ones . 

Similarly why they removed Nawaz sharif and brought shabaz sharif ....

Okay breaking new Maryam Nawaz sharif has covid positive while Punjab goes to the old system of bags and boxes election . Hate that ...people should boycott this primitive system of elections it is flawed and corrupt and a complete waste of time and money ...

Anyways who cares ....I don't.

12:05 am okay finally I am very relaxed . We have lots of leftovers so there probably won't be any Sunday brunch  . 

There is very little chance of a Chaapa today . Doctor Saab came already on Friday . 

And there rain is also predicted for the afternoon . 

The cooking mafia was up taking out mutton for cooking bhindi Gosht ...I had to stop her and convince to finish the leftovers first . 

Our garden cat has a kitten to play with today . Actually he seems more irritated with it then I am with him when it chase me and come in my feet . Especially at night when I am checking the water pumps . Is it karma ...

Anyways , 

I am very sweaty and need to change ...into something clean and dry was just waiting for rain ...which is seems is not coming anytime soon . So I guess I should eat something and pray two prayers zuhr and qaza of fajr 

with a prayer for my dearly departed parents papa and Ammi and the Recently Departed Aslam Bhai

But we had the pakoras anyways 

While I was sleeping we had a Chaapa 

Nephew came and brought the Qurbani meat 

I am told that it started to rain so he went early. 

Still he reached home soaked in rain . There was a predictions of thunderstorm I don't understand what was the hurry. 

What I clearly understand is that if God the All Mighty Allah Amen 🙏

Our freezer is full with meat ....mutton , beef of Qurbani . As well as chicken from Panda mart .for easy cooking in uncertain weather.

It has been the most unbelievable week of my life .

The weather .com of Google was predicting scattered thunderstorm ⛈️ with precipitation of above 60% most of the week . It didn't rain on last Sunday . So the confidence in the predictions was shaken ...but on Monday the 4th of July there were news of heavy rain in most parts of the bigger than a city and smaller than a country Karachi ...

And finally after a lot of chaos and confusion we finally get to see the rain but no thunderstorm on Tuesday afternoon and since then it became a regular thing . Life in Karachi began to come to a stand still . The unconstitutional administrator of kmc and his team kept a body language of denial most of the week but on Friday night their body language changed .

And yesterday I did not see his presser or flag march in the dark . The disastrous rain changed its modus operandi yesterday instead of coming from the bay of Bengal ...and raining on the north , east and central districts severely ...yesterday it attacked from the Arabian sea ...and battered the south districts . Kmc head office , and the houses of the administration in DHA Karachi

The second most unbelievable thing is that Elon musk broke the deal with Twitter I feel really sorry for the people who changed their like  💙 to blue and said he did it already . While yesterday's announcement indicates he never left the conference room . I don't understand what problem does he have with so many fake Twitter accounts. I believed he is an economic super genius ...or maybe he is ...just played the big bull just by announcing the buying of Twitter and then not buying while kingdom was busy celebrating . 

And talking of celebrating ...another big news this week is the brutal assassination of former japanese prime minister Mr Shinzo Abe by a navy seal .

Police say Tetsuya Yamagami, 41, fired two shots at Abe as he was making a political speech in the city of Nara. The first shot missed, but the second hit Abe's chest and neck, and despite attempts to revive him he died several hours later.

Yamagami was unemployed and a former member of Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force for three years, police say, and attacked Abe because he believed he was associated with a group Yamagami hated. Multiple handmade guns were later found at Yamagami's home.

Internet subscription is increased and the fee collector came early on 6th instead of 9th of the month . Plus the quality and quantity of both internet and cable has been very poor lately due to rain and loadshedding . Still I did not miss a single Sehri meal and completed my eleven fast of Zilhij . Nine after the sighting of the Zilhij  moon and two while it was taking shape . 

So now my fast count of the year 2022 is 82 fasts so now I am just 18 short of a century. Which I hope will be completed in muharram and rabiulawwal or Rajab . 

My dear elder sister was too eager to sacrifice a goat 🐐 today but in the end she decided otherwise due to the persistent rain and scattered thunderstorm ⛈️ 

My laziness and lack of interest  had nothing to do with her final decision . I am so glade this all will be over in a day or two ...and after that I will be able to relax and enjoy the rain and scattered thunderstorm ⛈️

So the makeshift cattle markets were not able to live up to the expectations of some of the news channels staff and anchors . Instead of encouraging and motivating their viewers they are only showing the bad and ugly  picture of rain deranged Bakra/ cow Mandi 

In my block of the society only twenty five percent of the animals can be seen of what we had last year . No idea how bad the things are in other areas of the city . Since this is our first Bakra Eid after the Recently Departed Aslam Bhai ( May his Soul rest in peace in jannah Amen 🙏) 

Our interest is next to none . But watching the mess and desperation of the show-offs on this strictly religious event. Makes me realize that no matter what I do the buck does not stop here .

For the past eleven days I use to start preparing the sehri meal at this time so today since I cannot fast because of the Eid UL azha day nothing stops me from having a meal before fajr prayer . 

There is some leftover mutton Pulao which I defrosted with great effort for the last iftari of the season so I need to get up quick or I will miss the fajr prayer and regret it all day long . The reason why I did not eat it at iftari is because it felt very cold after the hot and spicy fries and pakoras. Which I cooked myself 

3:49 am Don't know if the decision was bad or the timing was wrong . Now I feel even more sleepy and the fajr time is still half an hour away .. 

More clouds are gathering ... humidity and precipitation has increased .

The land grabbed new goths and the old city areas of the British Raj era are already facing urban flooding thanks to a life long PPP loan Rule . 

Unlike srilanka the situation here is much better ...and there is very little chance of mob and riots . Even though the American sponsored PTI is playing with the sentiments of the poor and the very rich . The mostly educated middle class is much better off and surviving  the negative and rebellious mindset . They are paying both the direct and indirect taxes and also performing the religious rituals very devotedly . 

12:15 pm I cannot believe this despite all that urban flooding all week and especially the DHA Karachi yesterday ...we have a Chaapa with a capital J 

Next year I am definitely buying an Airline ...

12:27 pm Have to go check the water pumps , check the thunderstorm and of course the Chaapa ...can't leave my dear elder with her cooking alone . 

1:42 pm Survived the first and most probably the last Chaapa of the day 

Rain or thunderstorm did not come here ...must have went the highway ....

Okay as the direct result of the Chaapa ..

I have been demoted and my dear elder sister has been Empowered 

So she is cooking the mutton Karahi from the Panda mart mutton ( Halal) 

With Nestle Yogurt 

And I am planning to go and stand in line at the market oven for naan bread 

After I am done with the water pump and the qassai leaves .

So in the mean time I pray the zuhr prayer with a prayer for my dearly departed parents papa and Ammi and the Recently Departed Aslam Bhai

I went to the market oven and brought naan bread and had a late lunch 

Nephew brought meat from his family cow 

For the past eleven days I used to be slow and sleepy after Asr prayer in the last hour of fasting and today I am slow and sleepy because I have eaten . 

Anyways ,

After prayer there was somebody at the door I went to see ..the dear neighbors had sent this Biryani 

The cable has returned bit the ptv sports is dim ... color less and the other sports channel beIN of Qatar media is just switched of .... obviously some rights issues . 

So this shows that Mr Ahsan Iqbal can play cat & mouse with Sargodha girls at McDonald's and I cannot even watch a game on sports channel 

Okay no problem ...

Got to go and watch the next episode of zalim Istanbul

11:53 pm during the Turkish series Rain started outside in Karachi ...and it continued till 10:30 pm . After eating the hot and spicy biryani and then also eating the hard raw mango ...I feel like scratching my neck then suddenly the rain started so I stood their in the rain and in few minutes the itch and scratching feel was gone . And I began to drink the leftover tea . Rain in Karachi is indeed a blessing.
