Today is the Sunday the 29th of September 2019 , the 29th of Muharram 1441 H till the Sunset ( 6:22 pm ; Karachi ) And this is my the Sunday Blog # 182 ( Hundred and eighty two ) .
Wow What a crazy week this has been for me ...Had a scheduled Rain and Thunder Almost all week . Yes it was kind of a little funny how i used to wake up to a hot and humid sunny or partly sunny day and then suddenly the sounds begin to be heard from far off ...yes the sounds of Thunder ...just we have a jinni crying out loud ...Adam boo ! Aadam boo ! ...and then THUMP his huge feet on the ground and move in a particular direction ....
So almost all week we had the repeat of the same rain ...and Thunder ...after noon . But Friday it seems was the tip of the iceberg ...the Cherry on the Top .
Since it was the friday ...i had to go out for the Juma Prayers ....by One pm when i started to prepare for the prayer ...it was a clear sky and there was no rain anywhere near ...but in less than half an hour when i got out ready to go , the rain had started ...it wasn't very hard so i decided to go and as i was half way to the mosque it got faster ...By the time i reach the mosque it was raining cats and dogs ....And then the ...Lightening begin to fall ...so it seems . It was quite an experience ...Instead of going in the Airconditioned hall of the Mosque ...i went upstairs in the covered from the top yet open from the sides ...like a corridor ...or a veranda ....So as far as the Sounds was concerned ...it was like standing in the rain .The open veranda of the mosque downstairs was all wet and filled with rain ...so nobody was there ...must have been the smallest crowd for the juma mubarak prayers ever ...the ladies portion was also opened for the gents as no ladies showed up ... The Friday Rains in this city has always been so gentle and predictable ...I have not seen a thing like this ever before ....And now that i have survived the rain i am glad that i went ...it was a very tough decision and believe me it was for the first time i felt like every single decision i make that day ...proved to be good and right . Amen !
The most amazing thing that day was that nobody was interested in the flooding down below ....Everybody was amazed by this spectacular display of Lightening and Thunder ...The Moods really changed ...Everybody was taking selfies and making videos of the Rain and thunder ...Strangers was talking to eachother ...Everybody was surprised What happened today ...Since the Rain had become a regular and scheduled thing for a week now ...and there was no warning or Alert for a storm just the rain ...
So anyways ...by the time my Juma prayer ended ...the rain had stopped ...so i started my way back home trying not to be electrocuted or fall into the open drain or dug up by the very helpful utilities and the roads destroyed by the Builder Mafia . The Kerbs and pavements in my almost converted to commercial , Residential Area have almost all been land grabbed ...so there is no way you can walk safely on them on a rainy day . Honestly if it had not been the Friday ...i would have never got out and be walking back home on the flooded roads and streets . Ever since my childhood i have seen water flowing down like stream on Tariq Road . It flows during the rain ...And if the rain is too fast and hard ...then the stream is very fast and hard ...But on this day i was so sad to see the same stream of Rain Water flowing down towards the Shahrah-e-Quaiden ...The Sindh Govt was so proud of this project and spend billions of rupees ...and had the Billo Rani inaugurate it if you remember . What i had expected was that i would find a dropless dry road and i would take my selfies and say look here i am standing on Tariq road soon after the rapid fire Rain ...
I am sure now you would agree with Mr Bilawal Bhutto ...who said something like this ....Jab corruption ata hai toh NAB ata hai ....Jab Zayada Corruption ata hai toh Ziyada NAB ata hai .....
I did take lots of selfies and video of the after rain effects on my way back home ...but i have not yet uploaded them on the youtube or any blogger friendly sharing site ...so may be sometime later ...This one Video i took with my mobile phone camera is really awesome it shows how i am standing on a Block in the middle of the road as the water flows and the Namazi from the mosque are using about a dozen blocks (8 inch )

I am sure that most readers will say that Why are you so worked up on just eight inches of water ...that may have run down in an hour or so ...you should go back and see that it is very dry right now or was the very same night ...after few hours of rain stopping ...On the other hand there are places in the very same town where there was water many feet high and at some intersections even motorbikes were drowning ....and had to be carried away ,,,Well the reason is that the Honerable CM of Karachi is so fond of boosting about the Tariq Road project and so is the other party spokes persons on Talkshows and pressers

the Chances of a Chaapa is about eighty percent ...Not sure about the chances of Rain today ...........the match between Pakistan and Sri lanka has been postponed till Monday due to major faults and damages occured in the newly constructed (renovated) National Stadium Faisla Cantt . Honestly it was looking very good ...especially the greens ...But you know how the Karachi ( the most dangerous city in the world ) Rain exposes the ill designs and corruption . SO now it is believed that they needed time to make repairs ....talk about the preparedness ...is it a word ...i think so ....no auto correct or auto suggest ...red dotted line for it .
It is a Shame ....that International Cricket returned to the city after so much and the game had to be called off for a little rain .

12:11 pm Good morning ! yes i am up before the noon ....cannot believe that ...i woke up or tried to get up expecting a brunch and a chaapa ...and when i got up i was told that i missed it ...yes we had a chaapa very early today ...and it was so sudden and so short that nobody remembered to wake me up ...the door was shut not locked ...if it had been open i would have got up with the voices ...Anyways ..here is the first tweet of the day

yes this was the breakfast after fajr ...and after that i fall asleep ...should have stayed up ...but i don't think i could have ...
Okay there is no sign of the thunder or rain today ...yet !

Anyways ...rain is very good for Karachi the most dangerous city in the world ...people will eventually think of ways to store and save all this water somewhere . And also develop better means of communications during the rain so that their normal everyday life is not disturbed by the rain .
Again the most important part has to played by the basic utilities ...like the karachi Electric and KMC , KWSB and PTCL . A good local government could have saved a lot of troubles by continuous works . The political campaigns are just a gimmick to divert attention and extortion .

Anyways ..since i have the Net right now ...so i better do the Movie of the week first ...So it was a very short week ...I had many movies ..But i just did not have the time to watch ...Enjoyed the Rain most of the week and then eat more and sleep more and played the farmville 2 country escape game more ...so i only got to watch six movies ...which included one on HBO which is watched while eating ...So

I don't know what happened ...I was feeling so good this morning ...and now i feel exhausted ...have had more sleep today than i usually do ...and have not wasted any energy ...did not go for a walk or shop or prayer ...you know what ...i should have gone for a walk ..yes that is it ...i need to go for a long walk ...only then this tiredness will go away ...also i need to eat something cold ...like qulfi or icecream ...or have lassi ...okay anyways ...lets move to the most important event of this week ....

We can't go blaming the Prime Minister of a country unless its own people and their parliament protests against him .
