Today is the Sunday , the 3rd of May 2020 , the 9th of Ramzan 1441 H till the Sunset ( 7:03 pm ; Karachi ) And this is my the Sunday Blog # 213 ( Two Hundred and Thirteen ) .
The third of May as I remember from my past life was one of the most significant date in my life because my high School board exam started on that date . The trauma lasted a few years more than it should maybe because I used to read the morning 📰 newspapers very religiously those days and for some odd reason it never fell on a weekend or maybe they changed the weekend from Sunday to Friday or the vice versa . They use to do that quite often before the Eighteen Constitutional Amendment . I believe it was a way of saying ....Wasiq ! a change would do you good . One of the most debated change used to be the dupatta policy . Yes after every regime change or especially when there was tensions on the borders especially the indo-pak borders , the female staff of every govt , semi govt and in some cases the corporate and private female staff using the public transport was forced to wear the dupatta coving the head . Slowly and gradually it use to come down and nobody cared . Some females got use to it and remained perpetual .
Then came the Enlightened Moderation of you know who and when he was ousted from power it was technically the time for the revival of the dupatta policy But then came the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment that took all the power from The Power and post it to the relevant institutions under the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan , 1973 .
It was a rainy season and you know the Constitution Avenue Islamabad does not need a season to have the rain . So I am not sure what happened next .
But I have to admit that some changes that really did good to me personally and to the country generally had nothing to do with the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment . And the happened long before I was even born . Like Sind leaving Bombay and joining Karachi the Capital of Pakistan . And then the Capital leaving both Sind and Karachi and tried to settle in Islamabad so close to Rawal Dam and Chaklala . Unfortunately the movers failed to pack the Central ( State Bank ) and Habib Bank . Imagine the Capital of the biggest Islamic State of the World
Without The Capital . Neighbors intervened and tried to save Pakistan but Islamabad was not ready to roll ...I mean Rule .

A Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
AND WHEREAS the people of Pakistan have relentlessly struggled for democracy and for attaining the ideals of a Federal, Islamic, democratic, parliamentary and modern progressive welfare State, wherein the rights of the citizens are secured and the Provinces have equitable share in the Federation;
AND WHEREAS it is necessary that the Legal Framework Order, 2002, as amended by the Chief Executive's Order No. 29 and the Chief Executive's Order No. 32 of 2002, be declared as having been made without lawful authority and of no legal effect, and the Constitution (Seventeenth Amendment) Act, 2002 (Act No. III of 2003), be repealed and the Constitution further amended to achieve the aforesaid objectives;
It is hereby enacted as follows:-

It made a lot of changes in the word and the spirit of the Rigid and Written Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973
Only a Constitutional Expert can see and contemplate the rhyme and reasons behind such detailed changes in so many articles of the Constitution , but for the drawing room discussion sake here are the main things this Amendment changed or tried to
Some new features were also introduced into the constitution, including the following:
The name of the former president of Pakistan, Gen Zia, has been removed from the text of Constitution
Sarhad (Border) Province has been renamed Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
The 17th Amendment and Legal Framework Order as introduced by Musharraf has been repealed
The ban on third time prime ministership and chief ministership has been lifted
Holding constitution in abeyance is tantamount to high treason
The Council of Common Interests (CCI) has been reconstituted with the prime minister as its chairperson and the body should meet at least once in 90 days
A judicial commission will recommend the appointment procedure of superior judges and the final names of judges will be decided by parliamentary commission
A Chief Election Commissioner will be appointed through consensus between treasury and opposition
Establishment of Islamabad high court and benches of high courts in Mingora and Turbat
Recognition of the children's right to education and insertion of a new section under Article 25A to provide constitutional guarantee that state will provide free and compulsory education to all girls and boys up to age 16.
The power to dissolve the parliament was withdrawn from the President.
So Technically there was no mention of the Dupatta policy here as well but some how I always feel that the age limit set at 16 years for free and compulsory education of boys and girls suggests that it's more than enough punishment for the parents , guardian and family as well .

4:49 am Because of staying up all night I have not been able to recite the Holy Quran after fajr my eyes are half shut and I try to sleep as soon as possible just to wake up at the earliest possible . But somehow even without the distraction and disturbing all thanks to the lockdown .... Day Forty Two 😳 , I wake up half way and then fall asleep more than I wanted and remain confused whether to go to the market or stay at home and pray and recite . I finished the previous one in record time of Fifteen days could have been earlier but in the end I got relaxed . Absolutely forgot we have another fateha coming next week . How could I so totally forget . Let's hope others also forget or I will have to go to the mutton shop in this lockdown . You won't believe this ....during this lockdown when everything is taking a tumble down ...dollar , petrol , milk and tomatoes ....the meat sellers are going in the opposite direction they increased the usual Ramzan increase without any fear of any kind . The e commerce and online shopping traps are definitely helping them sustain the price increases without any check .

1:21 pm Good Morning !It is amazing that the media has started warning and scaring against the coming heat wave and when I look outside it is windy with very strong winds and a hazy sky ...and the ten day weather report is also showing a steady temperature so who and what to believe .
It's the first world press freedom day since the media favorite mulla praised the media and became the talk of the Social media and media .
Many Anchor based talk shows invited him to their recorded live shows and tried desperately to divulge the name of the bully . I am not really sure if that was a scripted remark he made at the telethon or the heartfelt . My guess is that he called them liers Because of the double standards of the life style , showing openness , closeness and extra friendliness in the presences of their spouses but when the meet in the elevator they ignore his presence which really hurts his ego 😔
If that is the case I totally support him and also glad that their own bread and butter hates them . Now I can clearly boast that everybody hates journalists 🤣

4:09 pm okay did not recite don't want to strain the eyes and the back and the muscles any more than they already are . Instead I did some gardening . Chopped off the burned banana leaves and tried to make the plant grow straight . It usually bends with the weight of the leaves and then falls to the ground . These days I am also caring and watering some Mango plants regularly . Most of the leaves of Mango plants turned rusty red this winter . I felt very bad . So I started watering them even on the days when we don't have water from the stored non drinking I think the politically Correct word is potable not sure will have to Google later ...we normally have the overflowing sewarge water for the plants and trees but the line to the garden manhole seems to have choked or blocked . So anyways here I am praying just to see the new green leaves in the plants I water . I am really not sure if the little ones will survive the dreadful heat wave coming soon
And talking of the surviving ...you know what ...I often have a nightmare while day-dreaming every now and then that what if I was wrong about the PM Imran Khan being 💰 money crazy what if he really really wanted to help the poor during this Pandemic ?
But the thing that I don't understand is Why at a time like this when he shut down the life and living of millions of people and instead of helping them with food and money relief ...he and his over qualified people are trying to help the people who were already on the the side lines not living on the earnings instead on the Charity . I am not saying that these millions of poor people don't deserve a little something from the government , what i am trying to say is that they need help and continuous support of the the govt not the relief at the moment . At the moment the priority should have been those people who lost their jobs , their regular incomes , their businesses .
My neighborhood is turning into a very peaceful quiet place . The number street parked cars have decreased sharply . Probably sold to get cash in hand for expenses or returned to car finance Banks .The drivers and extra help have gone away either due to social distancing or fired due to lack of funds .
Even the heavily armed guard of the neighbors is now smoking half the number of cigarettes to what he initially did when he joined our kerb not because of the Ramzan but because of the uncertainty . When President Trump took the Whitehouse by surprise and told Pakistan to fuck off . Most intelligent business people took their business to Iran and other neighbors in the region . I have no idea how they are going to survive during this global Pandemic . Iran totally survived on smuggling due to the US and UN sanctions . With the borders of Pakistan , Afghanistan and turkey sealed , even the religious terrorism ... sorry I mean the religious tourism a major part of it's economy other than the cheap oil it was selling to some non Americans . But who cares the transporters of Karachi ☠️ has threatened to resume the dirty hazardous buses and other vehicles on the roads from next week . And I thought the Chinese would be working night and day during the Lockdown to complete the green bus system like the Builder mafia in my neighborhood is doing .

Yes we did the iftari ....
Every day we Debate about a simple iftari and we end up with so many things despite the lockdown
Okay the homemade things in a hurry are okay but the best thing on the table was the God send ...yes the melon 🍈 kharboza it was very sweet . Alhamdulilah !Now because of over eating I feel very 😴 sleepy so I will lie down on bed and relax and maybe I fall asleep 😴 for some minutes .
That was two hours ago now it is 11:00 pm and I am still in bed sweating . So I must have been sleeping 😴 for two hours and still I am not fully awake .

So I was wondering that among the Seventy Thousand dead people n the US by the WHO declared Pandemic Corona Virus 😷 Could be half non Americans and Who knows how many Americans are among the Global death count outside the United States and Afghanistan . Okay so that was not my point . I was wondering that if a great number of people dying in the United States of America are foreigners . There must be many Muslims among them and a few Pakistan origin as well . So should we be praying the funeral prayers for those Muslims and Pakistanis in absence

I believe she will never know and will keep making up stories till the very end which could take a few months or maybe years or maybe never .
