Today is the Sunday the 25th of August 2019 , the 23rd of Zilhij 1440 H till the Sunset ( 6:58 ; Karachi ) And this is my the Sunday Blog # 177 ( Hundred and seventy seven ) .
Sindh government has imposed section 144 .
Under No circumstance 5 or more people can gather at one place ...pillion riding on motor bikes will be banned for two days .
Most of my neighbourhood is already dug up ...for never ending development works ...gutters and sewers are overflowing in front of the regular majlis spots both public and private weeks in advance so that nobody complain during the muharram . Security is being beefed up and entrance is being made impossible for people especially women and children in black . Especial cameras and scanners are being installed to know about the expensive mobiles and cash they are carrying to and from the majlis and jaloos . Mobile snatchers , car and mirror thieves are being specially deputed and trained .
And we all know that M A Jinnah Road formerly known as the Bunder road is still blocked by the CPEC projects ...more blockade is expected as the Muharram processions nears . People who move to tariq road and adjoining areas few years back have already started the pilgrimage to the other side of the green line so as to not be late or left out from the majlis and processions and sabeel of muharram . especially when the LEA's put up containers and road blocks .
Our dhobi ( clothes washer ) who lives on the otherside of the green line did not return this week ...and the week before ...so he probably drowned or got electrocuted ...and even if he is not i am not sure if he will come in muharram .
Cooking haleem or khichra will be very difficult this year ....without water ...and who will do the dishes ....Even on food panda we will have to search for nearer places ...so the Ordered Haleem reach the same day . Most places on my side of town simply refuse to deliver on the other side of the Green line Bus mansuba ( CPEC) I have noticed on many food and restaurants Facebook and App comments . The Food Panda and other delivery apps also mark them as temporarily unavailable . So please before inviting the Guest for a Haleem Party do check and confirm that they will deliver or Not .
Okay Even though there is no hope for water tonight ...but i have to go and keep checking . So here i take a a short break and will be right back ...i hope . very soon . unless i find something to eat and forget all about this my the Sunday Blog # 177 ( Hundred and seventy seven )

1:54 am Nope ....no Water in the line ...and no Rain from the sky ....the Funny thing is that ...it was raining during the eid prayers on the eid day ....and when the sacrifice began ...it stopped ...and never turned back ...
so what i am saying is that having no rain or water is either the sign of the sacrifice being accepted ...congratulations ....!!

Feeling too thirsty ....and sweaty ...had only a tikky pack of prince biscuits and a cup of 7up ...All day yesterday ( saturday ) i tried to remain cool and avoided the hot and spicy stuff but for dinner i had the sheep trotters and then i complained to my sister that i am feeling to sweaty and cannot eat anymore ...but she thought i did not like the dinner ..so she again used the Landline to order the chicken rolls ...i am not sure if the landline is still working ...i did hear a bell ringing but i did not look ...must be the delivery guy ...never mind ...
On weekends when i am busy with the blogging or trying to rest or just in deep thoughts ...my siblings feel i am trying to avoid them...so they try arrange meetups like these ...and i fall for it ...its just a quarter after two in the morning and i am more hot , thirsty and drowsy ....can fall asleep any moment now . I have already finished more than half of the 1.5 ltr bottle of 7 up and the rest will go down before i fall asleep ...not sure if i will wake up with a throat clogged or eyes blurred ..or both ...i do sincerely hope that it is not the runny nose ...So is this a turn around or a U turn ....? Last Sunday i was on a roll ...did really good all morning and day ...even in the last hours ...and today i am on the Chicken Rolls ...and fries and cannot even think of a huge total on the words counter . I think i will have to copy and paste a lot ...if i don't want to embarrass my self . It is strange that i actually said that ...because after a hundred and seventy six weeks in a row ...i don't think that is even remotely possible .

Okay the main event of the city was the three day Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi from 22nd to 24th August 2019 ...ended yesterday ...but i am sure people would still be there ...this morning after the officials and their entourage went away .
2 days ago - The urs will be held at Abdullah Shah Ghazi's mausoleum in Clifton from August 22 till August 24. Hundreds of people from all across Pakistan ...
So anyways ...it is a las miserable place now nothing like it used to be before the Faryal Gang took over ...i would never recommend it to my depressed and hopeless patients .

They must have found out how their heavily Armed Guard was helping the whole neighbourhood fill up their buckets ...from their tap . Wow ! ....finally ....
Anyways ...Here is what i had for Brunch ....
Look closely and you would notice that we have fewer plates because there is no water for dishes ...and the Roghni Roti does not have the Butter toppings ...because of the River Flooding and Moody Sarkar's tax threats ...most of the farm products are going off the shelf at our local choudary Store ...Its been over a week and i have not been able to get the Omore's Matka Kulfi anywhere here ...usually when i ask for something new at our market ...the word goes around and i get it lying under my nose ...not this time ...Everybody in town has removed the Omore Freezers ....People who were raised on Olpers daily products are advised to store as much as they can ...Not sure what will happen to the nestle products if the UAE and Dubai stopped the shippingif it does then let me say it ...

Oh by the Way Omore Icecream tricycle is haunting me all the way ....Olpers Milk is still there on the racks ...but you never know ... Be quick !
Okay so i believe i am done shopping for today and probably tomorrow also ...i can sleep after over eating and the late night movie ....Oh it is Sunday Today and i usually go for the maghrib prayers ...and bring takeaway food ...But today i cannot ...so maybe i take a leave today ...and enjoy the Neighourhood show ....the Ghetto Next door is now almost agreed to digging another hole in the Mother Earth ...to pump up the mineral water ....and live happily ever after ....
they had to purchase a water tanker from the Rangers Mafia for 3500 RS ...nothing coming in the line ....The funnist thing about this Cartoon Network Show was that i had to watch the Crazy Neighbours Heavily Armed Guard stop the chain smoking and go fill up his water cooler from the house on the other street...so the crazy neighbours are not even giving him the water to drink ....or responding to any of his calls . great ...!
The Ghetto neighbours re union is being extra smart and only mentioning one name ...i have no idea why they are doing it ...and honestly i don't care ...so lets move on ......No No ...i am not shifting or anything ....i have no other place in the world i can call home ...What i meant was lets change the electric motor pump and see if there is water left for us in the line or has it all been sucked up by the neighbours ...

Strangest thing happened this week ...the cable turned off the LTN family channel the screen was all blue ...nothing replaced it ...simply gone off air ...so i had to watch the non family Geo Entertainment Dramas and soaps ...it was so stressful ..the same guys and gals are coming on this channel and some other news media ..soaps with different names and characters and doing very immoral things like marrying ...twice ...Divorcing thrice ....falling in love with a married women ...etc etc ...The good news is that last night the LTN Family Channel was restored 72 hours after i complained ...Thanks !

No i did not go out for the maghrib prayers ...there was just not enough time left to reach the mosque in time ...avoiding the hurdles in the way especially the drain water ...and sewer water and no water at all ...so Anyways ...
and maybe it was good because i would have missed the dinner with Aunts and cousin ...I had no idea guest were invited for the dinner ...should have guessed ...by the feast preparations going on since morning ! ...and i thought ...
never mind ....
Yes Both the Mutton pulao and the Leg Roast were really good ....Anyways ...this is nothing as compared to the offer of a Bucket of Water that just knocked on my door ...WoW !

OKay this friday ...imam saab at rehmania mosque prayed for the departed Soul of a child related to late Khawaja Ashraf ...that child has been ill for very long ...not sure what was his illness but they have been praying for his health for very long time Friday after Friday ....Allah us ki maghfirat karey aur us kay waldein ko jannat ul firdos ata farmaay ...Amen !

So i hope you all enjoyed this song and video and the fiction behind it ....Honestly i just trying to keep the things going ...right till the end at mid night ....The Cricket fans must be familiar with the term of night watchman ...in a test match ....it when the lights are bad and a few overs are left before the days play comes to an end or the draw of stumps for the day ...a lower order batsman has to just hold on and not lose anymore wicket ...till the close of the play ....Wait ...let me give you the wikipedia article ...i am sure it will explain my situation much better ...
Nightwatchman (cricket)
In the sport of cricket, a nightwatchman is a lower-order batsman who comes in to bat higher up the order than usual near the end of the day's play. The nightwatchman's job is to maintain most of the strike until the close of play (remaining in overnight after the end of the day's play, hence the name) and so protect other, more capable batsmen from being out cheaply in what may be a period of tiredness or in poor light at the end of the day, and then again the following morning when the batsmen have not yet ‘got their eye in', or when the early-morning conditions may favour the bowlers. The theory is that losing two top-order batsmen in quick succession would be worse than losing one top-order batsman and a tailender.
However the nightwatchman's effort is not considered to be wasted, nor are they expected to play foolishly; otherwise they would not last very long. The role of nightwatchman is generally given to players who emphasise defensive technique over quick run-scoring. However, there have been occasions when nightwatchmen have made a big score, and six have made centuries in test matches. Generally speaking, the nightwatchman plays conservatively on the night, but the next day may be allowed a freer role to score runs.
The tactic has its drawbacks - if the nightwatchman gets out before the end of the day, the batting team may need to send out a more capable batsman to prevent the loss of further wickets, thereby costing the team a wicket while negating any benefit from using the nightwatchman; and even if the nightwatchman does survive until the end of the day, the beginning of the next day's play will see refreshed bowlers with better light facing a less capable batsman. The nightwatchman is not to be confused with the pinch hitter, a middle to lower order batsman who is promoted up the order in limited-overs games, or in first-class games where their team is looking for a quick declaration, in the pursuit of quick runs without too much concern for their wicket.

There has been debate about whether Nasim-ul-Ghani (who later opened in a Test) and wicketkeeper Boucher were genuine nightwatchmen – however, in the matches in question they both came in at No. 6, at the end of the day, ahead of more recognised batsmen, and Cricinfo considers them to have been nightwatchmen.[2]
Alex Tudor (England) was close to making a century as a nightwatchman; he made 99 not out against New Zealand in 1999 at Edgbaston, and was stranded one run short of a maiden test century when Graham Thorpe got the total to the point where Tudor would’ve needed a six to reach a century. Tudor then hit the winning runs with a four, leaving him on 99*.
Also close was Harold Larwood. In the final Test of the 1932–33 Ashes, Larwood made 98 as a nightwatchman, the highest innings made in the role up to that time.
