Now Once again the question is ....How safe it is to eat the Non Home cooked food ?
The E media will have a field day for days maybe weeks ...as they are already campaigning about the health risks and the extremely bad quality of health and hygiene of the Dine in and take away food prepared and sold country wide in most roadside stalls as well as the reputed restaurants and franchise .
Both Local and Provincial Food authorities and govt officials and inspectors have already been under fire for not doing there jobs properly or taking hefty bribes to look the other way .
So what now ?
Will this incident change any thing ...anything new ... or will be forgotten and the things will keep going on the way they are .
In a country where the unemployment and poverty is already very high and the people cannot afford expensive food . It will be very difficult for Both the private sector and the govt to run , operate and regulate Good clean food outlets making and selling good clean and hygienic food on a very regular basis .
Ever since my child i have been a great fan of the take away food from the popular and famous food outlets and restaurants here in Karachi the most dangerous city in the world . But recently , i have myself increased the ratio of home cooked food in my daily meals . And go past the food streets or completely avoid them because of the health and hygiene issues of the places as well as the people who run and operate such places and restaurants .
Some of the processed ingredients of the food that have been discovered by the media and so unbelievable that most of the time i could not even watch it on the television . Like the Oil made of the Animal waste , and red brick used to prepare the red chill pepper . or the detergents being used in the sweet meat . the poisonous chemicals or the process used to ripen the raw fruits and vegetables and the non halal meat of haram animals being openly used in preparation of food and meals .
And this is not just about the bad or corrupt people and mal practices ...in the food industry . Sometimes , it is very difficult to maintain the quality of the ingredients due to lack of cold storage facility and electric power load shedding . When there is a power shut down for hours or more ...sometimes days . the frozen food melts down and then when the power returns it again freezes and most of the time nobody checks it or cares . This just not only happens in the commerical kitchens ...of the restaurants and food outlets , This happens in the normal home kitchens as well . No wonder some very cautious food eaters and health and hygiene freaks are also seen suffering from food related diseases and illness most of the time and especially during the seasons .
The Very Interesting fact that i observe every year during the winter wedding season here in Karachi the most dangerous city in the world is that most perfectly looking , talking and walking elders ...suddenly fall ill after eating the wedding parties food and die in a hospital ....

I am only trying to work out a plan in my mind as to how i can help improve the very bad situation of Food related deaths and illness as well as the permanent damage the grave negligence in preparing of food and eating causes to a human body ...our body !
Most prudent people of our society , Over achievers and loving parents are often seen lecturing the young about the benefits of eating healthy hygienic food and then are forced to order take away or bring themselves . Ironic isn't it ?
GAS .... yes just like the power load sheddings in our country ...the gas need to cook most of our daily food at home is sometimes out just at the meal time . Now tell me what can a House wife , a Home maker and especially a Mother do ...But to order or buy the take away the food or part of the meal from the nearest and cheapest affordable quickly as possible .
And then there is a silent majority ...that is always on the go ...some within the town , city or country wide . Going to the office , or shopping or at work all day even during the night ...mostly forced to eat outside the home or are living and working far away from the home or does not have a home . People travelling to far off remote areas or trading with the large city like Karachi the most dangerous city in the world . People Come here not to die ...Some are already dying or come with a Patient to the Big City Hospitals because there are no hospitals in there local areas . Ironic again there is no Big Government Hospital in the entire Jamshed Town , My Home town . And Never will be ...at least not during my life time because ...its the greatest Money making Business here .
Need a Break to cry and refill the cup of tea ....

So today no breakfast no special Sunday Brunch ....Only tea till the Lunch . The First Chaapa time is almost over ....So i guess we survived the first chaapa ...chance of a second is very limited ....Some close relatives are in and out of the Hospital ...in the praying state ...just had a phone call from the insurance agent ...did not pick ...not checking the mobile also ...heard many messages beeps...Did not go out for the morning walk or the shopping or the Bus Ride to the Saddar . Sitting here and Praying ....on an empty stomach cleaning with simple tea ...no masala today ....The News of eateries sealing on the Burns road food street discouraged from going for probably the Last Special Sunday Brunch of Paya ....they only cook it in winter months ...and the next sunday would be in March ...and forehead sweating during or after eating winter specials or over eating has began this week especially during lunch . So I guess this is it .....Unfortunately ....my elder siblings ...are non veg eaters and gets hungry before i do ....so I am not sure if i can watch my diet for the next six months ...The Mosque i go to usually on Friday for Juma Mubarak prayers is fast becoming a center of Free Lunch and Happy Hour Subsidized just to lure ....Plus other perks from Pentagon ...USMA ...GOD Knows ...and it is working ....obviously ...as i bought the Happy Hour Biry
ani twice this week ...May not fall for free lunches and other perks as yet ...neither am i concerned with it ...But Having tasty affordable food with frenchise or Brand name will obviously be very very tempting especially if i have to walk past it on a empty stomach after praying ...just as it is today ....the tasting with awesome smell and aroma Mutton pulao is on the table and i am sitting here ...waiting until i cannot wait anymore .....I i eat it with raita and sweet ...I wont be able to do this my the Sunday Blog # 151 ( Hundred and fifty One ) anymore till after the sunset ...and will also be too distracted till the mid night because of the PSL games ...and other happening phone calls , Neighbours doings ...and sounds etc ..Its the OSCARS night as well ....I wonder how the Americans voters will vote for a Favourite with a U ...aha ..there is a red spell check line here ...

or maybe when the Jacobabad police returns ...tonight or in a day or two ...everything will be back to normal again ...except that the dry fruit season is almost gone and i did not get to eat chilgoza or cashew nuts . DID get to see them a lot ...especially during the visits and bus rides to the Saddar and empress market or what is left of it . I was so over joyed that everytime i was there it never occurred to me that i should buy it . Every time i said oh i will come again and take this ...and that ...and that too ...and look the season is already gone ....i have started using the normal tap water instead of the hot water because some times it is very hot and i don't like mixing ...so chances are that i will finally catch cold or get flu ...not really sure about that .

For Some unknown reason ...the neighbourhood is so quite that not only i prayed the Isha prayer like i was on another planet or something and even the Vitr of Isha without disturbing the flight schedule of any air line ....LOL
During the break i received the Phone call from my dear Brother who was hungry ...But when i told him what is for dinner ...he said good Bye ....

So i was wondering ...that the sixth month of the Islamic Lunar year is about to end and after that there will be six month to the Bakra Eid ...So if I saved at least Five Thousand Rupees every month i will be able to do a middle class Pakistan Goat on Bakra eid ....other wise i will have to do a USAID goat or Cow share ...The Persian Fat tail dumba will be subject to availability but the hot weather will not be very good for eating it .
Anyways ...This year i am so happy with the dear merciful Lord All Mighty Allah Amen ! for solving my Sisters Money problems and giving Halal Money to me and the siblings , that i want to do goat for the All Mighty Allah Amen !
